Are there advantages if you want to learn-online?

Yes! The first advantage of distance learning or a web based course is that it does not require commuting.  Just that will save you a great deal of time and money. 

You can complete your classes at your convenience and learn online and at your own speed. 

Many students are disabled persons or senior citizens and encounter difficulties when taking traditional classes.  Many of the schools have limited or no wheel chair access to various facilities.  The amount of students in the halls can be overwhelming to say the least-so even dangerous.  If you can learn online or better if you are learning from home, you don’t have to worry about gaining access to a classroom or sitting on uncomfortable desks. Instead, you can wake up in the morning, sit at your own desk, and learn to further your education at your own pace.

The time the majority of students spend in the school is not spent focusing on academics, rather it is walking the halls to the next class-or maybe to the other side of the campus.  It is spent waiting in lines, waiting for other students to be done with their work, waiting for the teacher to move on to another topic, waiting for recesses or breaks, and even taking a lunch. Distance learners and home-schoolers can cut out all of this unnecessary waiting, and get their work done in just a few hours per day.  They are moving at their own learning pace, and still have time in their day to accomplish other interests.

In traditional classroom settings, even the best-trained teacher cannot always give the individual attention necessary to help each student achieve their full capabilities and skills levels.  As in home schooling, parents can devote much more time to their children, and know their child on a personal level. Distance learners have that opportunity too, with their online instruction or web based courses with Support.

Did you know that home-schooling has become the most widely recognized effective method of education? 

For home based students, there is a tremendous variety of curriculum choices available to learn-online.  Educational technology can be blended in such a way that the student can actually learn-online instead of listening to the instruction repeated over and over to other students.  We will talk much more about teaching students and their needs on our teaching online and educational technology pages.

According to the U.S. Department of Education the education statistics say that online learning is now part of their planning agenda too-where not implemented already.  Now that the ease of using computers has arrived, and the quality of distance learning has greatly improved in the past few years; both students and teachers are more comfortable integrating or blending online learning with their curriculum.
